The Sunday Slice
The Fall Festival Edition

Bonjour, Charles here…
Just as in France, fall is a time of cooler temperatures, brilliant colors, and Frogwater. Well, perhaps not Frogwater, but that is exactly why autumn in France can’t hold a cinnamon stick to our Fall Festival on West Vliet Street. So get out that favorite sweater,
put the rake down, and mark your calendar to join us on October 5th from 12 - 7 for fun, food and lovely beers, wines and snacks at Charles E. Fromage. But first, enjoy this week’s edition of The Sunday Slice.

The Milwaukee-made film that was nominated for Sundance's NEXT Innovator Award, and won Best Feature at the Jerusalem Film Festival. Medical transport driver Vic is late, but it’s not his fault. Roads are closed for a protest, and no one else can shuttle his Russian grandfather and émigré friends to a funeral. The new route uproots his scheduled clients, particularly Tracy (Lauren “Lolo” Spencer in a breakout performance), a vibrant young woman with ALS. As the day goes from hectic to off-the-rails, their collective ride becomes a hilarious, compassionate, and intersectional portrait of American dreams and disenchantment.
